S’mores Dip

September 22, 2014 By ericaeckman

s'mores dip
S’mores Dip. I know.

Amazing, right?

Who doesn’t love a delicious S’more? When done correctly, the melty chocolate, chewy marshmallow and crunchy graham cracker creates an insane tastebud utopia. How did I come up with creating it in dip form? Let met start from the beginning…

For a recent Sunday Football party, I got assigned desert. I’m admittedly not much of a baker (and I didn’t have a ton of time either), so I decided to get inventive. I had s’mores material in my house from a recent camping trip. I knew if I made individual ones, they would go hard quick and probably wouldn’t taste very good.

Then it hit me.

If I make it in dip form and then broil the marshmallows on top when I get there. It would be INSANELY good. I tried it and I was so very right…

S’mores Dip

Be the rockstar of your next football party and make this s’mores dip!
Prep Time5 mins
Cook Time5 mins
Total Time10 mins
Course: Appetizer, Dessert
Cuisine: American
Keyword: Dip, S'mores
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 2.5 tbsp Butter
  • 11.5 oz Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Chips Bag they are the best!
  • 3 cups Mini Marshmallows
  • 1/2 Hershey’s Chocolate Bar
  • Pinch of Sea Salt
  • Box of Graham Crackers
  • Cast Iron Skillet or Oven Safe Pan about 2 inches deep

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to broil on high. Over a double boiler melt the butter. If you don’t have a double boiler (or don’t know what that is), boil some water in a small pot and then place a bowl on top of it to melt all your ingredients. This will let your ingredients melt evenly and they won’t burn or get bitter.
  • Once your butter melts, add your chocolate chips and stir until fully melted. Add a pinch of salt. Transfer the chocolate mixture to your skillet and top with marshmallows and pieces of Hershey’s chocolate. Broil until brown on top and melted (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Serve your s’mores dip with graham crackers. For added deliciousness, throw those in the toaster for a couple of minutes to bring out the nutty flavor.

How good does that sound? Be the rockstar of your next football party and make this s’mores dip!

Love always,
Erica
