Are you a foodie whose Instagram feed filled with a disgusting amount of boring, shameless selfies, celebrities that make you feel bad about your life and sub par food photos?
Well today, I have a remedy for that problem. Today, I am going to share with you my 5 favorite food-related Instagrams. Honestly, I didn’t realize you could develop a crush on person based on photos that they post of their food, but it has happened with all of these people. I honestly don’t think you can call yourself a foodie and not follow these awesome people.
1. Samantha Roby: This Chicago based Instagramer’s colorful & bright photos of her daily indulgences will convince you to book the next flight to Chi Town. Roby also shares in her Instagram fame by reposting a weekly round-up of her favorite photos hashtagged #chicagofoodauthority.
2. Kat Odell: Does anyone remember this chic from the short lived Bravo series, “Eat Drink Love”? Well, finding her Instagram was the best thing that came out of that show. Talk about a girl crush. This girl goes to every restaurant opening, eats the most incredible food and still manages to weigh no more than 100lbs soaking wet. Oh…and she’s also the editor of Eater LA.
3.) The Vulgar Chef: If anyone can make you feel better about your dietary choices, it’s this guy. This crass, over-the-top Instagram isn’t for those who are easily offended. Not only does he have a mouth piece on him, The Vulgar Chef posts photos of over-indulgent dishes like donuts stuffed with ice cream & captain crunch and Rice Krispie treat bacon peanut butter burgers. I’m obsessed.
4) You Did Not Eat That: This Instagram is for every foodie who wants to scream whenever they see a photo of someone with food that you know clearly isn’t eating it. If you’re a true foodie, then you know food is not a prop. It is what makes our world turn. This Instagram just gets that and pokes fun at those using food for a cute selfie.
5) Stephen Lee: If you want true & honest restaurant reviews with a great photo collage on the side, this is your guy. This avid traveller is based out of Chicago, but following him will surely make you feel like you’re on a world tour. Whether he’s attending a restaurant opening right in the Windy City or on a culinary adventure in Korea at culinary school, this Instagrammer will not disappoint (although he may make you jealous).
