Ingredients

Blooming Onion

  • 1 Onion large
  • 6 oz Any Beer or Seltzer
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Corn Starch
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • pinch Ground Black Pepper
  • pinch Dried Oregano
  • pinch Dried Thyme
  • pinch Ground Cumin

Horsey Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Horseradish
  • 1/3 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Oregano
  • dash Ground Black Pepper
  • dash Cayenne Pepper

Instructions

  • Cut your onion. Check out my Instagram story highlight called “Bloomin’ Onion” to see how it’s done. It’s actually easy!
  • Make the coating! Grab 2 big bowls. In the first bowl, mix any beer or seltzer, 1/2 cup of flour and egg. In the second bowl, mix up 1 cup all-purpose flour, corn starch, salt, cayenne pepper, paprika, ground black pepper, dried oregano, dried thyme and ground cumin.
  • Dip it! Dip the onion in the beer batter first and be sure to get in all between all the petals. Do the same in the flour mixture. Then put it back in the batter.
  • Place in the airfryer carefully. Spray the entire onion in cooking spray or olive oil spray and airfry 360 for 15 minutes or until done. It all depends on size of onion!!! If you want to bake it, do so at 425 for like 15-18 minutes.
  • Next, make that addicting sauce horsey sauce. For this, all you do is mix together the ingredients mentioned above.
  • Serve hot and prepare to never ever, ever, ever order this at a restaurant again.
