Banana Bread (from scratch)

This sweet, breakfast bread is not only delicious but also super easy to make!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Butter one stick; room temperature
  • 2/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 cup White Sugar
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 2 1/3 cups Mashed Over Ripe Bananas about 5
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. It’s super simple. I did it by hand.
  3. Once the butter is creamed, add your two beaten eggs and mashed bananas and combine until smooth. You can use a hand mixer for this to make it faster or just do it by hand. Just make sure it’s smooth.
  4. Once the banana/butter mixture is smooth, pour it into the flour mixture and stir till well combined. Add the cinnamon and give it one more stir. The batter will be thick.
  5. Pour batter into a loaf pan (mine is 10 X 5). Bake for 50-60 minutes until golden brown. You can test if it’s done by sticking a toothpick in the center. If it comes out smooth, it’s cooked.
